Volunteer: AARP Taxes Phone Concierge

The AARP offers free tax preparation services hosted at Curtis Memorial Library during tax season each year. To schedule an appointment, interested parties call a designated line at the library and leave a message with their preferred availability. We are looking for several volunteers who would take on a once or twice weekly one-hour shift over the course of tax season to come into the library, listen to messages, and return phone calls to schedule appointments for patrons. This role involves being comfortable with making phone calls, using Excel to transcribe information, and good confidentiality practices.
