Volunteer: Volunteer Cat Tech I-Cleaning Cat Areas and Socializing Homeless Cats

Would you like to make a difference in the lives of homeless cats? The volunteer Cat Tech I is a vital part of the team at Pope Memorial Humane Society. The shelter literally runs on volunteer help, and we could use yours!

Duties include: cleaning cat "condos" and free roaming cat rooms, washing cat dishes and litterboxes, and interacting with the cats as you clean, which helps socialize them. Other duties as requested.

What do you need to be eligible to volunteer?

1. be 16 years old or older (younger volunteers may participate with parent or guardian present)

2. have ability to commit to a consistent time slot (this helps us manage a very busy schedule of staff and volunteers)

3. positive attitude and ability to work with others

For an application, please visit the "Volunteer" tab of our website, www.PopeHumane.org or stop in. Volunteer orientations are held every other Saturday and include an overview of the organization, tour and question and answer section. Interviews with the Volunteer Coordinator can be scheduled after the orientation.

Thank you for considering helping homeless cats!
