Our Mission is based on Matthew chapter 6 verses 26 through 31.

“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?”

MISSION STATEMENT:

To clothe people, not only physically but also with love and kindness no matter who they are because all humanity was created and is loved.

Vision- To facilitate access to needed clothing for people in Brunswick and the surrounding areas and to provide an environment in which they can feel that their needs, concerns and even their likes and dislikes are taken seriously. This will only take place if all the volunteers and staff are united in and act according to the belief that human life, no matter the appearance or belief system, is valuable.

Respect: We treat all people with dignity and kindness, recognizing that they are each created and loved by God, (bearing His image).

Compassion/Caring: We recognize that all people have times of need. We exist to help people through these times.

Welcoming: We strive to create an environment where all people we meet or work with feel comfortable and safe.

We give away clothing and shoes to all ages; men and women and children with no regard to who you are. Everyone will be limited to visit two times a month and may receive up to 3 items per clothing category per person in their immediate household, except for shoes, boots, slippers, coats, hats, mittens/gloves, bathing suits & robes which will be limited to one or one set per person.

We accept donations of clean and gently used or new clothing.

We reserve the right to refuse any donation due to space limitations, lack of cleanliness, or condition.

We also reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who is disrespectful, inappropriate, threatening or violent during their visit to Little Sparrows Clothing Closet.
