Who We Are

Mission: Providing youth who want a mentor timely access to a well-trained and well-matched mentor.

Vision: All youth in the RSU 13 district who want guidance and support with social, emotional, and academic circumstances will have a mentor to guide them.

History: In the Fall of 2017, a group of concerned youth development organizations and mental health professionals formed an alliance to increase student well being and success. Out of all the proposed solutions, mentoring relationships proved to be best solution for increasing the holistic well-being of students. The group was then named The Mid-Coast Mentoring Alliance.

What We Do

The Mid-Coast Mentoring Alliance is creating a unified application process for any volunteer that wants to become a mentor. The volunteer is then vetted and referred to the mentoring organization based on interest and skills. The referral is also based on the personality match of the mentor and the mentee within the organization. The Alliance will also host collaborative mentor recruitment events as well as joint mentor trainings.
