Fall Work Weekend

For over twenty years, volunteers from around the country and overseas travel to the Museum in late April and over the Columbus Day weekend to help work on numerous projects at the Museum. For Fall 2022, the focus will be a giant "Lining Party" where large crews will be moving along the railroad and bending the iron into correct alignment with large pry bars. Likely there will also be smaller projects as well.

Of course, visitors are welcome to just watch & see how our railroad is maintained and grows!

Work will start at 7 a.m. and end around 5 p.m. (or a bit earlier Sunday). Delicious lunches and dinners will be provided to volunteers by the Museum.
