Coastal Children's Museum

Our mission is to provide children and families the opportunity to explore, discover and learn through play about the natural world, the arts and sciences and the diversity of Maine's midcoast region.

At the Coastal Children's Museum children are offered an inclusive, relaxed and supportive environment for positive interaction with other children and adults. Families and caregivers enjoy the discoveries of hands on and interactive exhibits, and use our facility as a resource of inspiration. With over twenty-one interactive exhibits including a Gulf of Maine Touch Tank, full sized beetle cat sailboat, play veterinary clinic and a general store, children's imaginations and creativity are set free. Additionally, at the museum we offer an independent craft to all visitors each day and we are committed to bring dynamic and fun programs throughout the year. Highlights include live animal shows, concerts, children's yoga and art workshops with volunteers and professional artists.
