Healthy Kids

Healthy Kids is a community based family and professional network, offering support and educational outreach to families throughout Lincoln County. Since 1985, Healthy Kids has worked to enhance and improve the lives of children and parents, providing a wide variety of programs. These programs are designed to help parents, caregivers and professionals in raising emotionally, physically and cognitively healthy children. Additionally, Healthy Kids provides trainings to professionals working with children.

Healthy Kids provides programs such as: Home visiting, teaching high school students about parenting/shaken baby syndrome/the impact of drugs and alcohol on babies, parenting classes to parents and inmates, sexual abuse prevention trainings for preschoolers and parents, supervised visitation, playgroups, parent support groups, and professional trainings including: mandated reporting/period of purple crying/safe sleep/strengthening Maine Families. We raise the majority of our budget through agency fundraising and events. We are a United Way agency and also receive grants.
