The role of the Food Inspector is to examine donated, salvage food and other products.
This job entails two aspects.
- checking each item in order to ensure it is safe for human consumption
- whenever possible, working to recover items that would otherwise be discarded by improving packaging and fixing labels
The Sorter helps move approved salvage products off the conveyor belt and places them in the correct category.
