Facilitators- (1) Create an environment that allows a restorative conversation to take place and facilitate a repair agreement with integrity. (2) Lead Facilitators only: Coordinate logistics and track progress of your case through to completion.
Mentors-
- Mentors must be able to understand and empathize with their participant.
- Mentors must be comfortable with themselves and who they are.
- Mentors must be able to see the participant as a separate person with different needs and goals, and be comfortable with those differences.
- Mentors must be able to set reasonable standards of performance and be realistic in their expectations.
- Mentors need to be sensitive to the diverse backgrounds and experiences of their participants.
- Mentors must have a good sense of humor and an optimistic attitude.
Surrogate-(1) Participate in an environment that allows a restorative conversation to take place and contribute to a repair agreement with integrity. 2. Have direct or indirect experience with harm related to the harm caused in the case they volunteer to surrogate for.
Drivers-Willing to transport program participants when needed to decrease barriers to success
