Professional expertise is not required for this position, rather a working knowledge of cooking and kitchen/food safety practices. Cooking Matters is a program of Good Shepherd Food Bank, partnering with your Local Healthy Maine Partnership, Access Health to offer FREE cooking instruction and nutrition education to low-income people in the Bath/Brunswick area. This course meets once/week for 6 weeks, each class is 2 hrs. Cooking instructor will work along side a nutrition educator to teach basic food safety skills, and healthy cooking practices on a budget.
